Group and Individual Trainings and Coaching

This  training includes numerous proven techniques that will be explained and practiced giving participants many possibilities to calm anxious nervous systems and increase mental effectiveness on an ongoing basis. 

These are stressful, anxiety producing times.  Many people are experiencing:

     Burnout at work, or  in personal life

     Overwhelm with amount to do, expectations from others 

     Emotional overload

     A feeling of jittery nerves, difficulty focusing

     Physical symptoms: headaches, disturbed digestion and many more

This training and practices that go with it will dramatically increase resilience, ability to bounce back from adversity with vigor, greater emotional calm, more effective thinking and increased physical health.  

 This training comes out of my drive to improve things in a world filled with strife, and painful circumstances.  I'm a former adjunct professor and psychotherapist, now focusing on helping people transform their states of mind from stress ridden to positive.  I have trained in and trained others in the uses of many techniques that calm the over stressed nervous system, and increase resilience.  I have a strong personal mission to help people  feel better and lead better lives.

Some years ago I realized many techniques I have learned could be used by anyone on their own if they had the proper training and motivation.  Not everyone needs the longer versions of psychotherapy.  I have also found that I prefer teaching and coaching to doing individual psychotherapy.  It seems a natural fit for me to put together a training of all the amazing things I've learned along with some motivational strategies to reduce stress, neurological disregulation and anxiety  

We live in very stressful times.  When our body is operating from a stress mode most of the time, both health and happiness are severely compromised.  We need to be able to bounce back, recover from the stress, and learn to come booming out, more vigorous, more successful.  By learning a variety of techniques for releasing stressful responses it can become automatic to return to an energized but calm state.



Participants will learn how to: 
         
  • Release physiological components of stress
  • Reduce high blood pressure
  •  Calm and regulate breath
                
Bring in positive mental states using:
           imagery,
           short meditations HeartMath based,
           Learn to bring mindfulness into each moment
           Create phrases or words that will bring you back to working from your own values               and goals

About:

I began my career with studying hypnotherapy, figuring whatever problems people were having likely have some roots in the unconscious part of the mind. I knew my problems of some anxiety and over worrying were not things i could just wave a magic wand and fix.  I was certain there needed to be a way, beyond just wanting it all to go away.

From studies of the unconscious, came an interest in metaphors, imagery and dreams.

Teaching at Naropa got me into more facets of language and communication, listening, inner and outer myths and levels of change people go through.  I began being more interested in what can happen as people gain more techniques and understandings of how mind and mood work to be able to transform things on their own.  Somewhere along the way I took a course on energy work and was frankly shocked to learn that it worked, so it got added into the toolbox of possibilities.

​

Along the way I had a couple of kids who forever beautifully changed everything.  Since they grew up, a menagerie has come into the life of my husband and I, rescued horses, a few goats, two llamas from a garage sale (really) and of course dog and cat.  And too many gardens filled with planted plants and their wild weedy friends.  My meditation practice continues with spotty irregularity along with some qigong, biking and hiking.

For consultation on groups and group trainings please make an appointment on the scheduling page. I am willing to come to local businesses, hospitals or other groups to do trainings.  For either local or further away trainings, we can work via Zoom.

​

Individual sessions are $175 per session or six sessions for $960 payable in advance on payment page.

​

I will try to accomodate those needing lower rates by having a small group you can join, or form your own.
